Another night of burning the bull

And the fair continues and grows. This weekend will probably be the loudest with lots of music and laughter. Screeches from the young ones trying to run away from the flaming bull hoping they dont get burnt.

At least last night we had some protection of the firemen from Ticul waiting in the wings for any mishaps. One year the fireworks started ablaze a palapa house and there was no one to fight the flames so the people lost their house. Insurance? Mmm I dont think so.

The pinball machines went quiet whilst the flaming bull was doing his stuff. No one ready to eat until much later in the evening

After the burning of 5 bulls the procession then led the way with the statue of Jesus to San Juan to the small chapel that Candelario looks after. Here they burnt 2 more bulls before taking off to Candlarios house with Jesus being carried by four young boys.

Jesus comes to rest for two nights whilst the infamous Relleno Negro is served mid day.
I couldnt make it for lunch but Candelario was kind enough to send me a dish of the traditional food.!!
