Bikers from New Zealand.

The bikes

Alan and Chris originate from New Zealand but living in Australia. They decided to take a good chunk of 8 months to a year to  travel from North to South of the Americas by motorbikes.

They dropped in my place to spend a night at The Pickled Onion on their way to other parts of the Yucatan Penninsula. They ended up staying three nights because of the closeness to the ruins of Uxmal and the Ruta Puuc region and because they enjoyed my place so much, finding it relaxing and in their words CLEAN.The food was walloped down with gusto ,they slept the best for some time and where completely relaxed.

They had previous plans to fly first to Alaska to begin their trip but a couple of days prior checked the weather temperature and decided it was too cold.Instead they flew into Seatle, bought two motorbikes and there began their journey.

They travelled through the states for 3 months down to Baja Calinfornia crossing by ferry to mainland Mexico.

Eventually they arrived here ,Chris  a university professor of enviromental Management ,falling in love with Mexico.

Her partner Alan is in I T computers, was not as convinced as Chris ….. he said she falls in love with all the countries they have visited. Chris assured me that not as much as Mexico though.

Their goal is to travel to San Diego Chile . They have a website that one can follow….. www.etaunknown.com

it means expected time of arrival unknown…………but I tried to connect to this web page but couldnt maybe you will have better luck!

I wish them luck and in a way envy their free spirit. I enjoyed their company immensley as too, the other clients that were around during their stay.

Chris and Alan thanks for letting me do a little story about your adventure.
